OBAMA ELOQUENTLY TIES THE BP NOOSE AROUND HIS POLITICAL NECK

I am shocked that Obama seems entirely clueless as to what is going on in the Gulf and the real world.  He doesn't have to be a hysteric and it is clear that he has consciously avoided projecting an angry image.  Obama rightly fears that he would be more vulnerable to racist attacks from the cracker majority if he was openly angry.  Yet his utter tranquility seems almost totally disconnected from this unprecedented catastrophe caused by Big Oil.
Obama finally tells us, six weeks into a catastrophe that is arguably worse than 9-11, that this is his top priority.  It seems to me that Obama has been asleep at the wheel, hoping this thing would go away.  He was forced to have a press conference and stop hiding!
Nor has Obama criticized his own "drill baby drill" comments made shortly before the catastrophe.  Indeed he denies making such statements later in this brief public relations ploy, cast as a "news conference".  Obama sees no crime against nature or humanity, only a bill to be purportedly paid by BP.  Yet even his comments leave open the question as to what BP will actually be held responsible for this.  Two way Obama, "maybe you could believe this"  "maybe you could believe that".
Yet it seems to me that it was and is Obama who supports the policy of offshore drilling and no barrier island is going to do anything significant if any one of the thousands of Gulf oil wells
starts spewing oil as we see today.  Obama has been obsessing about saving his Wall Street buddies, keeping Israel happy and
desperately trying to maintain American power in a world of nations that are no longer dominated by the United States the way they used to be.  Of course the United States is orchestrating a war or something close to it on North Korea  but that must be sixth or seventh on his list?
Obama has made the invasion of Afghanistan "Obama's War" and been preparing a great slaughter for Kandahar.  Obama has lots of top priorities, but it is impossible to believe that stopping big oil from running the world is one of them.  Obama is run by big oil.
Helen Thomas challenged his BS war in Afghanistan and his answer, is as usual, something of a filibuster.  Thomas asked him not to respond in Bushisms, but he does!  He cannot and does not talk about when the United States will get out of Afghanistan but refers to his faith in  McGeneral McChrystal running the current sequence of massacres.

The fact is that the destruction of the Gulf seems to him, a matter of "business as usual".  He hopes for a post facto technical fix, he is a technocrat.  He alleges he  is upset and yet his response is laid back and relaxed.  Let's talk about bureaucratic mumbo jumbo and blame the government.   He is blaming MMS.  This man behaves like an oilman who wants to improve the oil drilling operations in the Gulf.
Obama is unable to even pretend to care.  Bush did that act.  He got a damn bull horn and posed as a leader.  It struck a chord with the people however cynical it may have been but Obama seems to lack appropriate emotional connections to the public.
We have been attacked by our own oil addiction and Obama talks about a few miles or less of booms.  Booms!  Then he gives a speech about getting some really "good stuff", as if the Gulf will not be dead...he ignores that completely.  Global warming isn't mentioned even though Obama claims to want alternative energy sources, "big nuclear?".
I think Obama's low key, low profile response to this oil catastrophe suggests that he has agreed not to run for office in 2012 but to give Hillary a turn.  When it comes to the destruction of our natural world the Democrats and Republicans are essentially the same.
Now Obama, after saying he is on top of everything, that he doesn't know about the supposed resignation of a top MMS official.  Obama claimed to have cleaned up MMS but then says it really didn't work or something.  He talks about  changing the corporate culture of MMS.
Obama asserts that he didn't  say "drill baby drill", but he did say things darn close to that phrase.  He is a liar and anyone who denies his pandering to the "drill baby drill" Republicans is a fraud and a liar or terribly ignorant at best.
Obama tells us that he doesn't endorse the boycott of Arizona.  Like almost all elected officials he will never stand with the people because he is of the ruling class, another subservient wunderkind.  Bought and sold Obama is a good investment for them!
This isolated press conference has now drifted to other issues Obama has left unaddressed.  For the "last question" one journalist gets in two questions.  "Is your boot on the neck of BP?" is the main question.  Obama is careful to point out that this term, "boot on the neck of BP" is just a metaphor and he passes the buck to Ken Salazar.  Ken said it, not me, Obama reassures big oil and other major investors in him.  Bought and sold Obama speaks.
